The basis of computation were the vertically integrated Navier-Stokes equations and continuity equation in and Eulerian system. The considered forces were inertia, coriolis, pressure gradient and friction. The effect of viscosity of sea water was introduced. The wind stress would be neglected. The solutions of tidal current computation were obtained on the basis of the scheme of explicit method by Ueno (1967). Since the solution of this model was solved by numerical method, so the effects of stability and convergence had to be considered. The use of the computational procedure was illustrated with results of tidal computations of the Yashima Bay, Japan |
